Advertizing is a powerful medium that brings awareness to the public about alternative products like never before. However, it also adds more confusion to an already overwhelmed public. When new products are sold, we do not have the history to support the claims that are made, nor the safety legacy of the product. Yes, people may experience positive results from the products, but are there long term side effects even with natural products? Are these claims a placebo effect, or are they short termed. It is vital that the products we consume come from a natural food source that is part of the food chain.Coral calcium is not part of the food chain. There is nothing else alive that consumes coral calcium. Coral calcium is toxic! This is part of its protective system. There is also an ecological concern about harvesting coral beds, be they dead or alive. Perhaps we should look at sources of calcium that are part of the food chain and are not environmentally sensitive.

The ability to not only test your own supplements, but to calibrate their effectiveness empowers you to make the best choices for you. Everyone is capable of learning to muscle test or to dowse, and to do it with clarity. Do not give your power away to any advertizing. Be your own authority!

Calcium needs to be taken with every other mineral as well as vitamin. The absorbability of calcium is also a key. The most absorbable forms are calcium citrate and calcium lactate. Calcium carbonate and calcium oxide are the least absorbable forms. The rest of the calcium falls in-between. This includes calcium hydroxyapatite (such as found in bones), aspartate, malate, succinate and fumarate.

The required amount is at least 1000 mg of calcium daily if one is healthy, or 1200 to 1500 mg there is bone loss. Of course some calcium comes from our food. That is why it is best to test which calcium is best suited for us as well as the amount. Divide the dosage up for the day. Do not take calcium without magnesium, usually at a ratio of 2:1.

It is also known that the mineral boron helps with bone building, as well as zinc and copper. Silicon helps with building bone matrix. Strontium is also bone protecting.

Sometimes the problem is in the absorption. In order to utilize the calcium and other nutrients, hydrochloric acid is needed. Taking a digestive enzyme with HCL can make a difference. Again it is important to test the need for an enzyme and which enzyme to take. Accurate muscle testing is an easy way to access this information.
