Newsletter - Winter, 2006Genetics vs BeliefHow much of our illness is genetic? According to Dr. Gabor Mate, from Vancouver, "Scientists think the genome project will find the source of health, but it never will because our cells are turned on and off by our environment, and the way the mind interprets that... He further states, "This is real medicine, but something that medical schools ignore. It is mind-body medicine, but unfortunately many doctors are practising mind-body separation." He is author of When the Body Says No and Scattered Minds.(Vintage Canada) In his book "The Biology of Belief", Bruce Lipton, PhD, a cell biologist, through his research discovered that a cell's life is controlled by physical and energetic environment and not by its genes. Genes are simply molecular blueprints used in the construction of cells, tissues and organs. The environment serves as a "contractor" who reads and engages those genetic blueprints and is ultimately responsible for the character of the cell's life. Lipton further states that "belief controls biology!" and "We are not stuck with our genes or our self-defeating behaviours." Can we attribute our cancer or other degenerative disease solely to genetics? Not anymore! It's been proven that genetics play a small role in our predisposition to health related issues, while what we believe, think and feel is the major cause of our conditions in life. That means we have the capacity to change our reality and reinvent ourselves. The sooner we start, the better! Create a positive attractor pattern by working with this belief. "Every day and in every way I am loving my life more and more." While declaring this statement at least three times, tap gently on inside of the brows. Bruce Lipton's "the Biology of Belief" is an excellent read (Elite books). Broken Heart - According to the New England Journal Medicine, we can die of a broken heart. Physicians at John Hopkins found that a group of 18 older women and one man developed serious heart problems after experiencing sudden emotional shock. After examination, none of them had signs of heart disease or experienced a heart attack, but needed treatment as some would have died without it. Grief, loss and emotional shocks have the power to kill. (Take one of the following. RescueRemedy, UNDA 228, ER911, Ignatea and gently holding your ESR's - Emotional stress release points by covering your forehead with your hand. Remember to breathe deeply and slowly) Pesticides - There were 2,593 cases of acute pesticide related illness among US schoolkids and school personnel from 1998-2002, The Journal of the American Medical Association, Aug2005. (Even though they claim the statistics are low, but are climbing, what about all the cases that weren't reported, and looked like the flu?) Aspirin - Aspirin is used to thin the blood and treat heart disease in both men and women. Many take aspirin as a preventative. A rigorous conducted clinical trial shows that low dose aspirin taken regularly does not offer cardiovascular benefits to women although they were protected from strokes. New England Journal of Medicine, ,2005. As a pain reliever, aspirin, ibuprofen or other related pain killers can increase the risk of breast cancer by 50%,Journal of the National Cancer Institute, June 1, 2005. (Natural remedies such as fish oil, Omega 3 fats from fish oil and vitamin E from mixed tocopherols help with cardio-vascular health. Diet, lifestyle, exercise and an optimistic attitude will leave you with beneficial side-effects.) Book your appointment now by calling 756-1303. For those of us who had it done in June, this is a great chance for a personal comparative study. Breast HealthDigital Infrared Imaging uses digital infrared imaging cameras and high speed computer. It explores breast physiology by measuring the metabolic activity in cells. Problem areas show higher temperatures due to increased immune and inflammatory activity. It is a safe, non-invasive way to asses breast tissue health. It is the first line of screening technique used in France, Germany, Sweden, Spain and Japan. Call: 1-866-242-5554 or visit www.medthermonline.com |
